THE BRITISH UTONAGAN ASSOCIATION

Constitution

1. Aim of the Association The aims of the association are to create a full register of all Utonagans, and to promote at all times the health and welfare of the breed. The Association aims to give open and informative advice to owners and breeders of the Utonagan and to create a panel of experts to advise on the future of our breed. The Association will also follow Kennel Club Breeders Code of Ethics, Registration protocol, Affix, Showing Rules and Regulations etc.

2. Membership and registration Membership and Dog Registration is open to all Utonagan owners and lovers of the Utonagan. Stud and Brood entrants must have hip and eye test results and any other relevant health results available for perusal.

3. Founders and Committee The Founders shall be members for life. The founders will cover: Chairperson, Secretary, Deputy Secretary, Treasurer, Database manager, until the first AGM.. Therein all committee positions available that are not filled by the founders will be up for election by our members. If any committee member resigns their post the remaining committee may vote in someone else and shall inform all members. There will be a panel of advisors available to members for the discussion of breeding, health, lines etc that will be for information and promotion of healthy ethical breeding. No-one under investigation or who has, been investigated by any animal welfare group may apply for a position on the committee or for membership in this association.

4. Revocation of membership Any member or Committee member found under investigation or charged from any animal welfare group will be expelled from the Association, or if they have seriously brought this Association into disrepute may be expelled from the Association, this will be decided by the Committee and members will be informed.

5. Subscriptions Annual membership will be £10 per household, payable 1st Feb each year.

6. Other fees Dog registration - £5 Litter registration - £5 per pup Change of ownership - £5 Stud/Brood page - members - £5, non-members - £10(all stud/brood advertised must be hip/eye tested)

7. The British Utonagan Association AGM The British Utonagan Association AGM will be held in March of each year . Votes received by post or email will be accepted at the AGMs.. Notice will be sent to members with the return of their membership cards in February with agenda and voting forms for any matters to be decided.


8. Minutes of meetings All decisions taken at AGMs will be recorded in minutes available for inspection by any members.

9. Complaints Procedures Any complaints about the association should be made in writing to the chairperson.


10. Association Constitution This constitution was agreed by the founders of The British Utonagan Association.
